How to: Skin Rash Rescue for Extremely Dry Skin

by Grant Ferns

Dry skin is difficult to treat because it is less resistant to the aging process, more sensitive to environmental factors, and can easily become irritated with certain ingredients. However, an even more complicated skin type is very dry skin.

Very dry skin doesn't come from mistreated dry skin. It is a sub type of dry skin and is characterized by sensitive, tight and extremely dry skin. What makes treatment even more difficult is that traditional treatments for dry skin may not even work for very dry skin.

Fortunately, when following a good skin care plan you can effectively treat this type of skin. This type of skin plan should include a skin rash rescue to deal with sudden allergic reactions. Not only will certain products help, but lifestyle changes are vital to keep very dry skin healthy.

The Right Skin Care Routine & Very Dry Skin

Normal dry skin can usually be treated with cream cleansers and creamy moisturizers. However, this is probably not sufficient for very dry skin. In this case, switch over to oils.

A great oil for treating very dry skin is olive oil. All you have to do is massage a little bit of oil all over your face. Once you let it set a couple of minutes, place a warm, moist washcloth on your face. When the washcloth has cooled off, wipe off the oil and moisturize as usual.

Rose hip oil can be used as a moisturizer if your normal moisturizer isn't doing the trick. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and treats dryness almost instantly. You can reapply this product as often as you need to, but make double sure that you use sunblock if you plan on heading outside.

If you don't want to change your current skin care routine, just make sure that none of the products you are using are made with fragrances or alcohol. Both substances can cause irritation and dehydration so read the labels before purchasing.

An Integral Skin Rash Rescue Plan

If your skin hasn't shown much improvement then you might want to consider making a few changes in your daily habits. In fact, no skin rash rescue plan is complete if you don't implement a few lifestyle changes. The right products will help any skin problem, but if you have bad habits then you will be counteracting their effects.

Start with a few basic changes to your diet, such as moderating your caffeine, alcohol and soda intake. All of these drinks promote dehydration and promote itchiness and possible rashes. By making these simple changes you will not only be helping your skin, but you will also be improving your overall health.

Another good idea is using a sensitive skin balm for rashes. Any product that contains aloe vera, rose hip seed oil, or licorice root extract will help soothe your skin when it is itchy. Another plus is that these products will also help moisturize the affected area.

Other lifestyle changes include: changing synthetic fabrics for natural fibers, using a humidifier, and drinking plenty of water. Remember, consistency is the key in any situation, and these suggestions will only work if you commit to a long term lifestyle change.

BIOSKINBALM is a dry skin care product that contains snail serum, a natural ingredient that has a soothing and moisturizing effect on dry and sensitive skin. BIOSKINBALM can also be used to treat other skin problems such as: psoriasis, rosacea, eczema & dermatitis.
